Brenda Behr
Best known at the Little Art Gallery for her calligraphic "Raleighscapes", Brenda Behr can be seen painting locations throughout the city. She paints the spots that folks love most--Krispy Kreme, Hayes Barton Pharmacy, the Chargrill. Snoopy's, the Bell Tower, Peace and Meredith colleges, to name but a few. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. In June of 2003, after more than 30 years as an advertising art director and graphic designer in Minneapolis, Brenda returned to her hometown of Goldsboro. She serves on the board of the NC Watercolor Society, as editor of its newsletter. Brenda is seldom without her watercolors or oils, painting most of her work on location. Her good nature and innate interest in people make her a fun artist to follow.
