temporary painting

MT McClanahan

Marcus McClanahan studied commercial art before beginning his career in the fine arts. He works in both oil and acrylic and focuses on seascapes, landscapes, and portraits. Marcus states that "what inspires me to paint is how the lights and shapes interact. There is great strength in shape, line and color. It virtually forces the painting out of me.

Marcus acknowledges being drawn primarily to water. "To me water is a mystery. Its power, its texture, and its flow. I am very interested in movement in my work."
